Killing Crystal Flies

Aside from motion design, I produce music. For my 2025 album, “Killing Crystal Flies,” I created visual teasers for the main tracks, each in a distinct style. 

Some of the videos required working with AI tools. To create the video for “Just to Entertain Oneself”, I used AI to generate and animate various backgrounds in a classic comic book style. After compiling all the AI-generated clips together, I used AI to create an illustration of a car dashboard, which I made transparent in Photoshop and put on top of all the background animations I generated. This creates the illusion that the viewer is driving inside a comic book world.

The video of “Beautiful Fabric” required a unity between AI and classic motion design, as I used Adobe Firefly to generate different landscapes in a Layered Paper style, and then animated them using Runway’s video generative AI. After that, I animated book pages turning in After Effects, and replaced every page with the videos I generated.
